Who we are.
Tarana is a second language educator. She founded learnEd in 2011 based on her experience. explore. emerge.™ philosophy for teaching and learning. Many of these programs were developed using interactive methods by interns & educators from The Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.
Tarana is a published amateur travel and street photographer with collections exhibited and acquired in India and the US including the National Geographic Society’s stock images. She practices Iyengar yoga and would like to be a trained instructor someday.
She has lived, studied, and worked in India, Germany, USA, and China and has been fortunate to backpack, kayak, hike, ride camels, and sail in over 30 countries.
Tarana believes that learning is an experience, not an exercise. An effective teacher inspires innovative thinking, nurtures self-expression, and applies learner-centered teaching methods. She has over a decade of experience in the Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) field.
